ELECTRICITY
The electrical supply is 110 volts. Bring your own electrical adapters.
The Resort provides 110 volt outlets for shavers, hairdryers and irons.
CLIMATE & CLOTHING
Whistler is a four season destination resort; moderate climate with cool summers and mild winters because, of its location along the coast of British Columbia. Summer temperatures range from the extreme high of 29°C to an extreme low of 7°C in 2007.
Think layers and be safe. Don’t forget the sunscreen. SHOPPING

TRAVEL & HEALTH INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that you take out insurance policies to cover medical and travel expenses. If necessary, consult your travel agent.
TAXES
Canadian Government legislation states that a Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 5% applies. There is a Provincial Sales tax of 7% also on purchases other than food.
The Hotel tax is a mix of the PST 7% and 3%.

You will find a variety of things to do for every ability; hiking, biking, golfing, zip-trekking, bear viewing, canoeing, just to name a few.

TIPPING
Tipping
is the general custom in Canada and service charges are not
added to accounts by hotels and restaurants. You may tip
hotel porters and food and drink waiters in restaurants (up to 15 - 20% of
the bill) for special service. At any time, tipping is your choice.
