To make your check-in process at the hotel quicker and smoother, we would recommend you pre-register. Please download & complete the Guest Registration Card and return it to [email protected]. The Registration Card will need to be signed and have credit card details for all delegates wishing to pre-register.
At Mantra there will be a number of stations signed as follows:
ARCRC - Checkin - Surnames - A-J
ARCRC - Checkin - Surnames - K - R
ARCRC - Checkin - Surnames - S - Z
Delegates should head to the appropriate station, according to surname, where they will be given an envelope with Map and Keys to their rooms.
Banking
There is an ATM machine in the Salt Village and at various locations in Kingscliff. All major credit cards are accepted at the hotel and in the Village. Please note there is 2% surchage attached.
Time
New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland (QLD) are in the Australian Eastern Standard (EST) time zone. In May, the time zones in both NSW and Queensland will be the same and there will be no time difference.
Electricity
The electrical supply is 240 volts. The connection for appliances is a flat 3-pin plug or an appropriate adapter plug can be used.
Climate
The Tweed covers an area of 1,303 square kilometres. The climate is classified as sub-tropical maritime - meaning that it is rarely too hot and doesn’t get too cold. In summer, the mean maximum shade temperature is 29.6 degrees celsius and the mean minimum shade temperature is 18.3 degrees celsius. This makes the weather ideal for water sports. The wetter summer of the Tweed also ensures ideal growing conditions leading up to the winter. In winter, the mean maximum shade temperature is 22.0 degrees celsius and the mean minimum shade temperature is 7.2 degrees celsius. The Tweed has the highest average rainfall in NSW with an annual average of 1,706mm. January & February are usually the wettest months and September the driest.
Clothing and what to bring
The climate in the Tweed is sub-tropical. The average maximum daily temperature for May is 23.4ºC, with a minimum of 15.5ºC. With the relaxed lifestyle, casual clothing is acceptable during the day and smart casual clothing after 6pm. A lightweight jacket may be required for cooler evenings. A hat, sunglasses, sun screen and insect repellent are all advisable.
Shopping/supplies
There are a variety of shops within the Salt Village, along with a liquor store, cafes and restaurants. Kingscliff is only a 5 minute drive away and offers a larger variety of shopping, markets, cafes and restaurants.
Visas

Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that you take out insurance policies to cover medical and travel expenses.
Taxes
Australian Government legislation states that a Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 10% applies.
Tipping
Tipping is not the general custom in Australia and service charges are not added to accounts by hotels. However, you may tip hotel porters, taxi drivers, bar staff and waiters at your own discretion (up to 10% of the bill). At any time, tipping is your choice.
Internet access
There is wireless internet access at the venue. This includes guest rooms and common areas at
Mantra and conference rooms only at Peppers.
