It is our pleasure to invite you to the 6th PacRim Breast and Prostate Cancer Meeting, an international conference organized with the aim of fostering collaborative interactions to improve the understanding, management and prevention of breast and prostate cancer. Over the years, the PacRim Meeting has developed into an interactive, ‘think tank’ which engages all participants, rather than a more conventional conference. The 6th PacRim Meeting will continue with this effective format of short presentations followed by interactive discussions led by session co-chairs and discussants.
This year’s meeting will be held at Skamania Lodge, located in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area in Stevenson, Washington. Skamania is an elegant, grand mountain lodge nestled on 175 wooded acres, and is just 45 miles east of Portland, Oregon.
Building upon the success of previous meetings, the 6th PacRim Breast and Prostate Cancer Meeting will bring together world experts, both scientific and clinical, to address the most recent developments in the field. Between 100 and 150 participants spanning the Pacific Rim countries will address contemporary topics, integrating, where possible, aspects of epidemiology, biology and translational and clinical research in breast and prostate cancer.
Program themes and more specific program information will be posted on this website in due course. Relevant topics will also be covered in poster presentations, and students and post-doctoral fellows are encouraged to submit posters on their work.
The 6th PacRim Breast and Prostate Cancer Meeting will convene at 2:00pm on Monday, July 20th. The program will include the Ron Ross Oration and Award and will be followed by a welcome reception. An informal session incorporating ‘The Great Debate’ will be held on Thursday evening, followed by a farewell dinner and self-guided tour of the Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center. The meeting concludes on Friday, July 24th after breakfast.
On behalf of the conference organizers, we invite you to what promises to be an exciting and memorable conference, both scientifically and socially.
