Rob Sutherland Award – Nominees

The Rob Sutherland Award will be made to an outstanding early or mid-career researcher at the PacRim breast and prostate cancer meeting in 2024. This award honours Rob Sutherland’s contributions to the PacRim Meeting series and recognises his exceptional contributions to research into hormone-dependent cancers – including breast, prostate and ovary – and his commitment to training and mentoring younger scientists.

To be eligible for the Rob Sutherland Award, candidates should:

For the category of early career researcher, be 5-10 years post the award of their most recent relevant degree (eg PhD, MD) and have made a significant contribution to breast and/or prostate cancer biology and/or translational research and have high potential for leadership in the field.

Or

For the category of mid-career researcher, be 10-15 years post the award of their most recent relevant degree (eg PhD, MD) and have made a substantive independent contribution to breast and/or prostate cancer biology and/or translational research and be an emerging leader in the field.

Selected nominees must agree to present a poster and a short talk at the 8th PacRim meeting to be held in Darwin 17-22 August 2024.

The Rob Sutherland Award will carry a monetary prize and will be presented at the PacRim meeting.

To be considered for this award, please consider your eligibility based on the criteria above and submit an abstract (see below) and CV to Casey Peters [email protected] by 03 July 2024.

Applicants will be selected to present in the Rob Sutherland Award session at the 8th PacRim meeting in August based on their submitted abstract and current CV.
